10 Unlucky Moments In Video Game Speedruns You Won’t Believe

Some of the most popular video games in the world have a secret. They can be beaten in the amount of time it takes to prepare breakfast. Speedruns have become increasingly popular throughout the years and it seems to bring out the natural competitiveness we all have inside us. Whether they are tool-assisted or traditional, speedruns are incredible feats of skill. Tool-assisted speedruns (or TAS) involve the use of programming trickery to manipulate a game. It’s much more than just finding a little glitch here and there, it involves messing with the code of the game to give you a distinct advantage over someone taking a more simple speedrunning route. It may be frowned upon by some, but they’re still completing the game in record time so does it really matter? Don’t get us wrong, the traditional method of speedrunning requires a tremendous amount of knowledge and skill as well, there’s no doubt about that.
Since speedrunning is such a competitive scene, expert runners are always finding ways to cut down on their time and skip as much of the game as humanly possible. They search every nook and cranny of the game to see if there are opportunities for shortcuts. Luckily for us, their hard work is our reward because these speedruns are absolutely mesmerizing to watch. Some games which take over 40 hours to complete can be done in 10 minutes by the speed runners. It’s as if they’re video game magicians. Without further ado, here are 10 popular video games that can be beaten in 5 minutes or less. Enjoy!
